Earlier this week, GameDaily BIZ reported that the latest hardware revision of the Xbox 360, codenamed 'Jasper,' had released to retailers. Internet sources suggested that the changes to the system made it run cooler and gave it 256 MB of internal memory for game saves and download storage. At the time, Microsoft refused to publicly confirm any of the modifications, but now Microsoft has come out and acknowledged the presence of the internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade, which previously came with an external memory unit of the same size."We can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade," commented a Microsoft rep to Xbox 360 Fanboy. "The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units - 256MB."
"We are constantly updating the console's more than 1700 internal components," he added.
