If you were really looking forward to the return of Sega's seminal arcade racer Outrun, we hope you have an Xbox 360. According to CVG (via Joystiq), Sega U.K. has confirmed that Outrun Online Arcade will be exclusively released on Xbox Live Arcade in North America, meaning PlayStation 3 gamers are out of luck.CVG says that Sega U.K. gave no explanation for why the game has suddenly become a 360 exclusive in our region, but they did confirm Outrun Online Arcade will still be released for both the 360 and PS3 in Europe. So, as CVG notes, with any luck, that'll mean U.S. PS3 gamers should still be able to download it through a little profile trickery when it's released in Europe.
Once confirmation comes from Sega of America (and hopefully if we learn more about why the game became a 360 exclusive), we'll pass it along.
